Riddle's Court is a picturesque A-listed merchant's house just steps away from Edinburgh's famous castle. The 1590s building houses unique features including exquisite painted ceilings, authentic working fireplaces and panelled rooms – all of which are being painstakingly restored by skilled craftsmen.
Whilst the building is being restored new contemporary interventions are being added to transform the space into a state of the art venue. Bringing the beauty of the old up to date with modern life including full lift access.

Riddle's Court is not just a historic building, but one where history has been made. Here King James VI courted foreign nobles to ensure he was the one to succeed Elizabeth I to the English crown, here David Hume wrote his seminal History of England and Patrick Geddes entranced listeners with his new ideas.
